m.fitzgerald was born in a small town outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated with a degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University in 2013. Since then, she has displayed and shared her poems on social media and with her friends and family, incorporating an artistic blend of photography and typewriter poetry. Her work involves issues surrounding self-image, her experiences as an LGBTQ+ woman and social injustices, as well as loss, grief, spirituality and musical expression. She also works with LoveEarth WEC, a California-based non-profit which strives for Earth preservation and wildlife conversation. She lives in Rhode Island with her partner and their two bunnies, and is currently writing her fourth book, a poetic memoir, entitled Glittering Blackness.
